You may have given up on your daily spritz of perfume during the pandemic (who’s going to smell it anyway?), but I am going to make a case for you to bring it back. Perfume is such an underrated act of self-care. Even if I am working from home, I will still put it on. It can make you feel like you are working from a little French cafe in Paris. Maybe it will transport you to studying in a gorgeous library in Provence. It might even make you feel like you are reading a book in a vineyard in Bordeaux! Trust me, it is just the little bit of escapism that you need.
This past year there has been no shortage of gorgeous new scents. There have been so many amazing new perfume releases that are must-trys! Something that I have enjoyed doing lately is combining two perfumes to create a perfect mix of both. Some of my perfumes that are more floral I will pair with a musky scent. Just be careful! Too much perfume will give anyone a headache.
Can’t bring yourself to move away from your all-time favs? My three all-time favorite fragrance houses have given their best-sellers a huge face-lift. Coco Mademoiselle (Chanel), Chloe Eau de Parfum (Chloe) and J’Adore (Dior) have all been redesigned. The new bottles are nothing short of fabulous!
Shop Classic Perfumes
Here are my top three picks for this spring and summer. For summer, I love perfumes that are floral or clean. Leave those heavy, musky perfumes for winter. These three scents are light, feminine and fun. Check them out and let me know what you think!
Her London Dream Eau De Parfum
Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori
This perfume is a stronger, more woodsy smell than the Her London nose. The top notes are of Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang. The base notes are yummy Musk, Sandalwood, and Benzoin. Although it has musk, this scent is perfect for spring and summer because of the mellow honeysuckle scent.
My Way Eau de Parfum
For those who love a classic floral perfume, My Way is perfect for you! This scent has floral elements throughout, but is grounded by a hint of vanilla. My Way is a pretty bouquet of bergamia, citrus blossoms, white flowers, and jasmine.
