Everyone knows that the best way to end your summer day is with a nice glass of rosé. We’re reaching the heat of the summer and rosé is the perfect refreshing drink to unwind with by the pool. The Southern French have mastered the refreshing, dry style of rosé because they select their grapes purposely to produce the many different types of rosé. We want to share our personal favorite French rosés that we never forget on our beach trips – make sure to look out for these rosés to add the pièce de résistance to your next picnic. 

1.Les Quatre Tours Coteaux d’Aix en Provence 2019

For around only $20, many critics claim that this rosé is a must-have. Its flavor is delicate and fruity with floral and pink grapefruit flavors. The cabernet sauvignon blend maintains the rich flavor and light texture. 

2. Bandol Tempier Rosé

Our CEO is native to France and this is her top choice … so we know we can trust it. This rosé is free of tannin (that brownish bitter-tasting substance we hate to see). Before being bottled, Bandol ages their wines long enough to receive a rich and complex blend of candied citrus fruit, melon and rose petal. 

 

3. Château Miraval Côtes de Provence Rosé

I’m sure many of you have heard of this one, but if not, it’s a must. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie teamed up with Perrins, one of France’s leading wine producers, to create this beautiful rosé. Not only is the bottle perfect decor, but the rosé itself succeeds in having a delicate flavor with white fruit, strawberry, and floral notes. This bottle will be easy to find at most stores here in the US. 

4. Chateau Minuty, Cuvée Rose et Or 

Minuty is a very well known brand for rosé-lovers … They produce over 4.5 million bottles each year. This blend is extremely light in color compared to many other bottles. It has a crisp and dry flavor and a lot of reviews say it pairs well with a summer salad.
