An In-depth City Surf Fitness Review
Have you ever ever envied the strength and balance of a surfer? Who wouldn’t want those long, lean muscles and deep tan? Dallas may be landlocked, but one of its newest fitness studios is making it possible to workout like a surfer without an ocean for miles.
City Surf Fitness: The Surfset RipSurfer X Board
City Surf Fitness, created by Mitchell Brown and Lauren McHenry in Dallas, Texas, is an innovative new workout designed to challenge your strength and balance. Instead of working out on a mat, city surf adds an extra challenge by using a surf board. The SURFSET RipSurfer X Board is designed to replicate the physical demands of surfing without water. The board sits on top of soft balls that make balancing a challenge.
OuiPlease Takes a Trip to City Surf Fitness
The OuiPlease team tried out the class last week with a core and cardio session called Ripcore. The class consisted of rotating sets of cardio and ab exercises. Many of these moves resembled traditional exercises, like mountain climbers, planks, and crunches, but with the added challenge of staying balanced on the board. Each set of exercises was set to fun music that made the 50 minute class go buy in an ocean breeze. The instructor, Oliver, encouraged us to keep going through the toughest moves while keeping the beats going.
