When you think about self-expression, a few familiar ideas run on a loop in your head. Maybe you consider self-expression to be speaking your mind, perhaps it’s going all-out with a paintbrush in your hand, or even getting dressed in the morning. No matter how self-expression takes shape in your life, it’s all comes down to creativity and individualism.
This summer, one of our favorite creative outlets and forms of self-expression is painting our nails. Nail polish, which originated in China in 3000 B.C.E., has long been a beauty must – likened to applying makeup or arranging hair. Due to our recent experience using Nailmatic nail polishes, painting nails has become less of an item on the personal upkeep list, and more of a fun, creative outlet we look forward to doing ourselves.
Nailmatic is an innovative, up-and-coming brand inspired by millennials. The brand has been available at New York City’s ABC Carpet and Home since 2014, and will make its OuiPlease debut in Vol.2.4. Nailmatic is different from other nail polishes for one essential reason: it’s intended for DIY nails.
Sure, many people yield a nail polish brush with grace and ease, but not all of us are as lucky. Nailmatic polishes flaunt a signature gel formula that dries quickly (goodbye, immediate scratches and nicks), and the the brush is wide for easy application (so long, accidental cuticle painting). Not only are Nailmatic color options bold, vibrant and varied, but the varnish is free of four particularly nasty ingredients: toluene, phthalate, formaldehyde and camphor. This non-toxic classification means that you can apply as often as you want without compromising the strength and health of your nails.
Nailmatic has many exciting developments on the horizon. Coming in October, Nailmatic is kicking off a new e-platform so you can shop chic shades from the comfort of your home. In November, Nailmatic will be arriving at J.Crew locations across the United States in sets of three exclusive varnish shades. Last but not least, Nailmatic will be launching a product line for children in January 2017. After all, non-toxic “creativity in a bottle” should be available to everyone in the family!
Whether you choose to go classic and paint all 20 nails the same color or go completely out of the box, Nailmatic will keep creativity at your fingertips all summer – and beyond.
