We are extremely happy to announce that our OuiPlease V4.5 box will be including products from the fashion-forward French jewelry brand – Bangle Up Paris. Bringing you the biggest trends in statement jewelry, this brand has earned its fame in France and will continue to expand its awareness across the globe. We were able to ask their creative director and co-founder, Danielle Kopriwa, some questions about the brand, to give you a taste of what kind of companies make up the products in your OuiPlease boxes.
What was the inspiration behind the brand?
“Originally, the bangle refers to the closed bracelets found in most traditional cultures, especially in Asia. The bracelets are offered to girls as good luck, and worn throughout life because growing up they could not remove it. So, we wanted to preserve the beauty of the object and the feminine excellence it represents, by taking away the constraint of not being able to remove it and by adapting it to modern life. In September 2014, we released our first collection of clasp bracelets and semi-open bangle bracelets – adjustable on the wrist. Our bracelets can be worn at any time of life, both at work and in the evening.”
What is one unique brand quality that American customers should know?
“Bangle up is a French brand of jewelry, mainly enamel bracelets in textured and colored patterns, at affordable price. Our price range is between 40 and 100 euros. Making colorful enamel bracelets that are beautiful and price accessible…it was a daring idea! The technique of enamel is most often used by luxury brands. In my opinion, it is important that beauty is something for everyone. Our bangles are for all women of all ages who love French chic.”
What is your favorite product and why?
“I particularly like our petite jonc bracelets, available in several colors, that can be accumulated or that can be worn with our patterned bracelets. Depending on how we wear them and the outfit (cool or dressed), they completely change our look.”
What is your biggest challenge as a brand?
“The biggest challenge was for my partner, Kevin, and myself to unite an entire team around a common project. The idea is to brighten life – to make life more colorful by creating beautiful objects intended to last. Objects that can be kept alive and have sentimental value. This is our reason for being, for my creative team and myself.”
What was your companies biggest achievement?
“Our biggest achievement is having very quickly aligned our brand to a network of more than 400 resellers in France and abroad. We owe them a great deal of our success. Thanks to them, our bracelets are brought to the streets and receive thousands of messages asking where to find our jewelry.”
What are some fun facts about Bangle Up?
“The dream family is the one we choose! Today, the bangle up family has 10 passionate and exciting employees. In the Parisian workshop, we share everything: our ideas, our tastes, our desires, and our moods too. Together, we imagine creative jewels that look like us and that we focus on each day a little more. This is the beautiful story of the team bangle up. First, there is Danielle and Kevin, and little by little our team has grown. There is Marie, the ambassador of marketing and communication. Claire and her exceptional relationship maintain the flame of our shops. Caroline is very caring and attentive to all our customers. Dominique, who is fluent in IT. Inès, who answers emails and sweet words on the web. Naré, our polyglot who radiates bangle up beyond the borders. A Happy Business Family!”
