Kadalys is island life, in a bottle. Inspired by the virtues of the omnipresent banana tree, Martinique-born founder, Shirley Billot, created a skincare line to highlight the tropical plant’s anti-aging, soothing, and depigmentation properties. Nicknamed the “plant with a thousand uses,” this giant and benevolent herb are revered in the French West Indies, where it is essential to traditional medicinal practices. In 2012, Shirley Billot founded Kadalys, which was the first organic cosmetic brand to use banana actives. Billot grew up in Martinique, where the banana tree grew in abundance. Martinique is a rugged Caribbean island that’s an overseas region of France. Interested by the omnipresence and versatility of the banana plant, Billot launched a research program to study the banana tree plant and then developed her key active banana ingredient, the “Muscatif.” Her research showed that molecules from the banana plant contain active ingredients highly concentrated with anti-aging, soothing and depigmentation properties. She decided to create Kadalys to unite her passion for plant research with the cosmetic virtues of the Banana tree.

The Purifying Mask is gentle and soothing, using Yellow Banana Musactif, Yellow Clay and Kaolin to lift away impurities, clear dead skin cells and absorb excess oils. This creamy mask will leave your skin feeling clear, balanced and enlivened.

To use on skin: Apply uniformly on a cleansed face and neck. Wait 10-15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with a gentle massage in a circular movement. Use once or twice a week.

To use on hair: Apply the mask to the scalp. Leave for 15 minutes then lightly massage your scalp and rinse with warm water. Use once a week before shampooing.

The Comforting Cream restores hydration levels and nutrition to the skin with nourishing ingredients including yellow banana, mango butter, and hyaluronic acid. The smooth texture quickly penetrates the skin and alleviates sensations of tightness, dehydration, and dryness.

To use: Apply on the face, neck, and chest to clean, dry skin morning and/or night. For a deeper, moisturizing treatment, apply a thick layer of cream to a clean, dry face and neck. Leave the cream on for 15 to 20 minutes, then gently remove the excess with a cotton round.
