Their story

 

The Maradji brand was launched in 2014 by French women Delphine Lopez. Delphine was a graduate of the l’Istituto Europeo di Design de Barcelone in 2008, and from her studies the gained a love for traveling and exploring the world. She loved the cosmopolitan look and landed on the idea of creating a line of scarves and accessories. These scarves are made in Sanganer, India, in the family business of Madhu, where Delphine did her graduation internship. The small size of the workshop allows the company to guarantee its integrity and respect for working conditions which was an essential component for Delphine. Craftsmanship is a keyword to describe the making of these products.

The product

 

These scarves are made from silk and modal, a super soft fiber made from beech trees, and are printed by hand. The company is certified by SA8000, one of the most demanding certifications to get, and this demonstrates its social responsibility by promoting the rights of workers. Even though the scarves are made in India, they still comply with the European standards of production and chemical use.
