SUMMER FASHION SHOPPING LIST

As the seasons change, so does my wardrobe. I am especially excited about getting some cute new pieces right now because I just love summer style! It’s so fun and chic, but you can still be comfortable.

It’s so important to have staple pieces to go back to throughout the summer months that you can mix and match. With the products below, you’ll have a whole new closet. You’ll never run out of cute outfit combinations! 

 

 

DRESSES

This season, I am loving floral prints on flowy dresses. I think the best part of this summer will be getting back outside with friends, and these three are perfect for that. The summer heat won’t get to you in these dresses because of how airy they are, yet you’ll look effortlessly chic.

Here’s the best part: you can dress these up or down, depending on the events of your day. Elevate your look with a clutch and some mules, or tone it down with a cross-body bag and some simple sneakers. 

 

 

 

TOPS

Every sophisticated woman needs a few simple yet trendy tops for everyday use. Personally, I love having staples that I can just repeat with different accessories depending on the occasion.

These kinds of tops are the best when I’m in a rush to get ready and need something to wear that I know I’ll be confident in. Without these tops, I’d surely spend 30 minutes every morning trying on 10 different outfits. There just isn’t enough time in the world for that, so these tops definitely come in handy. 

 

 

 

BOTTOMS

Pants during the summer? Not on my watch! Shorts and skirts are always my go-to for the hottest months, but that doesn’t have to mean simplicity.

Patterned shorts are the best, especially when they have structure. They can elevate any simple top to create a chic look, while simultaneously keeping you cool in the heat. Skirts are great for that too, and this season, maxi skirts are the way to go. Pair the skirt with some sandals for a relaxing walk on the beach or a stroll through the city. 

 

 

 

SHOES

There are three types of shoes no girl can last the summer without: sneakers, wedges, and sandals. With one of each, you will be unstoppable. Who knows what adventures you’ll go on in those shoes?!

But seriously, these three are a must. The colors are neutral, so you can match each pair with just about any summer outfit. Plus, you can never go wrong with basic neutrals. Match any of these shoes with a fun outfit, like one of the floral dresses above, because the simplicity of the shoes won’t take away from the pattern!

 

 

 

BAGS

Handbags are the glue that holds any cute outfit together. Whether you need a bag to take with you to the pool or one to throw over your shoulder while running errands, there are three great options below. 

One thing I’m loving right now is straw bags. They are so chic and fun, and they just radiate good summer vibes. Also, everyone needs a good tote. They’re perfect for weekend trips to the beach because you can store all of your essentials in one bag. Then we have the bucket bag – trendy and spacious, all in one!

 

 

 

SWIMWEAR

It’s summer, so obviously we’re going to need some cute suits. Bright colors and prints are the motifs of the summer, so shop for a fun swimsuit to lounge by the pool in. 

I always prefer simple cut swimwear so that I can avoid weird tan lines, so the three I picked below have pretty basic cuts. I also find simple cuts to be the most flattering. That way, the fun colors and prints can be the focus of the swimsuit, rather than the style or shape of the swimsuit itself.
