ABOUT PIED DE POULE
Classic and elegant tableware at its best, Pied de Poule creations result from careful care to quality as well as origin of materials. The Founders travel to France for old-fashioned plates, decorate them in Paris and fire them in Picardy just north of the capital. Pied de Poule bowls are made in the earthenware factory of Pornic, Brittany. The brand’s wooden items come from sustainable local forests and processed in the Jura. Its Happy Birds pitchers are molded and produced by the Royal Manufacture of St. Clement. Its stainless-steel bread sneakers are galvanized in La Courneuve.
In short, Pied de Poule love looking for and uncovering local businesses possessing craft-skills know-how. Sometimes their expertise have been passed on from generation to generation, other times, it’s industrial. All design and follow-up are done between Paris and Châteauroux. With Pied de Poule you can expect nothing short of craftsmanship and art. Discover the history and design behind the French tableware brand here.
